Oh my god I love my cats Kinka and Lefty so much!

Scientists think that cats have slits for eyes because they are nocturnal animals but are not strictly nocturnal and need to help protect thier eyes during the day. Different pupil shapes appear to be an adaptation to the many activity patterns during a 24-hour day. But big cats like lions and tigers have round pupils.  What other animal has slit shaped pupils?

The snake!
