Check out this video titled Pebble that our friend Akina made. Stefani and I first saw it at CalArts last spring. I couldn’t turn away from it! It made me feel funny and freaky at the same time.  So good.

For our readers in L.A.: Akina’s video Prologues will be screened at SCI-Arc tomorrow night during Peter Zellner’s talk about art and architecture. He will also be showing an animation his studio made of Ed Ruscha’s entire body of work. Wednesday at 7pm! More info HERE.

For our readers in N.Y.: Akina’s book, When I Tell You I Was Born Into a Cult, This Is What It Means, will be for sale at the Ooga Booga booth and the Golden Spike Press booth at the NY Art Book Fair at PS1 organized by Printed Matter this weekend.  Go see it! More info HERE.
